These sites are situated on the eastern half of the Falsterbo peninsula. Skanörs Ljung or “Ljungen” (the Heath) is the rest of a vast heathland once stretching all the way past the villages of Ljunghusen and Höllviken towards Kämpinge and Vellinge.
You can hardly miss Skanörs Ljung as it stretches out to the left all along the road from Ljunghusen to Skanör. If you intend to take a walk out onto the heath then leave your car at one of the two parking areas just north of road 100. Alternatively, turn left towards Falsterbo at the roundabout at the end of road 100 and follow the road along the western edge of Ljungen up to the camping site. There is a parking area on the left. This is the famous south-western corner of Ljungen, where all the bird-watchers gather.
Stenudden is reached by turning south at the traffic lights in Ljunghusen and then driving along Storvägen following the road signs for Ljunghusen Golf Club, where there is a car park.
You may also reach Ängsnäset from here but then you'll have to pass the golf course. It is much better to park at the westernmost parking area north of road 100 and walk across the heath along the track by the Ammerännan ditch. A third route to Ängsnäset is from the south-western corner of Ljungen either across the old firing range or along the brook on the heath.
The parking areas north of road 100 are also suitable start points for a walk along Banvallen.
